General Info:
Dietary supplement with specific antioxidant and neurotrophic functions that is used to fight off neuropathic pain and other form of pain and disorders, including pain due to nervous degeneration, symptoms of diabetic neuropathy, osteoarthritis pain, tension neck syndrome pain, migraine and herpes zoster pain as well. Its basic elements are Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), chromium picolinate, selenium zinc and B-vitamins. ALA has two characteristics: firstly, it exhibits strong antioxidant action, limiting the damage caused by free radicals and improving nervous communication speed. Secondly, it normalizes nervous sensitivity, consequently reducing both pain and torpor. Selenium and zinc are essential minerals that participate as co-enzymes to the biosynthesis of a number of enzymes with antioxidant function. B- vitamins (also known as antineuritic vitamins) improve nervous tropism and protect nerves against degenerative phenomena.
Description:
All these essential elements of Nevralip Retard are formulated in a special matrix that allows their prolonged release in order to overcome a limitation normally encountered in the use of ALA with relation to its short life (about 30').
20 Prolonged release tabs
How to use:
Take 1 tablet per day, preferably on an empty stomach (food may significantly reduce the bioavailability of ALA). Not to be used during pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years old.
Clinical Advice:
As an active clinical pharmacist, i have to admit that Nevralip is one of the best supplements for people with diabetes or metabolic syndrome. Not only it's a nice combination of active ingredients made into a tablet with GMP standards, but the tablet is also a prolonged release formulation which is a common missing aspect with many alpha lipoid acid and B complex vitamin formulations.
People with diabetes type 1, can observe a greater drop in blood glucose.
New onset of neuropathic pain in people with metabolic syndrome, is the category of patients i see the greatest outcome.
Always talk with your physician in order to achieve the desired outcome.
My advice is based on my clinical experience but it's not tailored for all.
